Where to stay in Trieste: the central districts
Piazza Unità, Borgo Teresiano, the seafront and San Giusto: which area to choose and which room to book.
Trieste is best explored on foot, but choosing the right area makes a difference. Here are the central districts where our rooms are, and who they suit.
Piazza Unità and Via Diaz: for first-time visitors
The heart of the city: the square on the sea, Caffè degli Specchi, the Molo Audace pier and the climb to San Giusto. This is where you will find our Superior, triple and quadruple rooms at Via Diaz 6, and the Deluxe rooms and studios at Via Diaz 8. Ideal for a weekend or a first trip to Trieste.
Borgo Teresiano: for train travellers and families
The Canal Grande district, with the straight streets laid out under Maria Theresa, literary cafés and the station a few minutes away. Here are the suites with kitchenette for up to 4 guests, handy for families and longer stays.
Seafront and Piazza Venezia: for a quieter stay
Between the waterfront, the Revoltella Museum and the historic coffee roasters. Here you will find Deluxe rooms and a studio on Via del Lazzaretto Vecchio: quieter, yet close to everything.
If you prefer a hotel
If you would like a 24-hour reception and buffet breakfast, the 4-star Hotel Palazzo Triestino is on Via San Francesco, a few minutes from the centre.
Practical tips
- With heavy luggage, pick a building with a lift: all except Via Diaz 8.
- For several nights, a studio or a suite with kitchenette gives you more freedom.
- Booking directly on our website means dealing with us, with no middlemen.
